Recently, Blair House Inn has been featured in a couples of articles highlighting the must see stops in the Texas hill country. Spring is in full swing with eager travelers vacationing to Wimberley and the surrounding destinations. Colorful fields of bluebonnets and wildflowers bring many to the hill country, but the many shops, restaurants, wineries, and of course Blair House Inn show there is much more to enjoy.
Texas Highways magazine published a great article featuring a few highlights around our little town of Wimberley. They take a moment to acknowledge the resilience of residents after last years floods and their determination to not let it keep them down. Wimberley has bounced back in a big way, installing a huge art project of giant painted boots around town. An attraction that has become a bit of a scavenger hunt for the more than 50 in the area. Continuing with seasonal festivals and making sure the natural landscape is as beautiful as ever.
Travel Gumbo has also posted a piece about our cooking classes. Michelle Carr joined us for a three day themed cooking class and was happy to include us in her article on discovering the hill country. Blair House Inn’s national known cooking classes are perfect for the chef’s in the family or those trying to learn a new skill. Chef Chris Huffman works hands on with each student to gain the most from each class. Themes range from Italian, French, and Mediterranean to New Orleans cuisine and our newest class, Spanish cuisine. Our cooking classes are a lot of fun and no one leaves on an empty stomach.
These articles only scratch the surface of places and things to see in Wimberley. Come join us at Blair House Inn for a romantic weekend getaway and enjoy Wimberley and the Texas hill country for yourself.
