Spring brings flocks of beautiful birds to our Texas Hill Country Bed and Breakfast. The Blair House Inn is ideal for bird watchers, the inn rests on 22 scenic acres full of wildlife. Sit on our observation deck and wait for the deer, foxes, turkeys, roadrunners and if your lucky you might spot a bobcat. Imagine waking-up, walking onto your private porch and being greeted with the beautiful sounds of singing birds. What better way to usher in a new day?

bins

Over 30 species of birds call this Hill Country bed and breakfast home. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars because you won’t want to miss out on these winged hill country treasures. We are excited to have seen our first turkeys on the property as a result of our new turkey feeder and habitat. Keep your eyes peeled for the Scarlet Tanager, one of the 50 percent of birds that migrate from the rainforests of Central and South America in the spring and head north to breed in the U.S. and Canada. One was spotted at the birdfeed just outside our kitchen window this week. Feast your eyes on the on the soft peachy colors on the breast and back and the dash of red under the wing of the Scissor Tail Fly Catcher. Grab your binoculars because this bird puts on a truly acrobatic show.

Savor a cup of coffee on the porch before our gourmet breakfast each more and watch the birds feeding at one of our many feeders. There is a plethora of birds both common and rare to be spotted here.
