Join us for a Texas Hill Country tradition. We are excited to announce our 12th Annual Vintner Dinner Series. The Blair House Inn started this series in 2001 and are held every Saturday evening during January and February. Owner Mike Schneider has had a long time attraction with wines and vintners. He created this series to showcase and celebrate the areas great Texas Hill Country wineries alongside the Blair House Inn’s award wining gourmet cuisine. This has become a fantastically popular annual event that guests and local residents make sure to mark on their calendars. The Blair House Inn Vintner dinners are a five course culinary adventure paired with local Texas Hill Country wines.

The Vintner Dinner Series provides the opportunity to learn about the winemaking process, to taste and explore new local wines and to understand how they are paired to enhance the flavors of the foods. Vintners and/or their representatives will be on hand to explain their winemaking process and the unique character of the wines they create. Don’t miss this Hill Country event.

‘Tis the season to indulge in life’s many delights. Pack your bags and head to the Hill Country for the holidays. As the heat starts to wane and the signs of cooler weather arrive our thoughts turn to the upcoming holidays and the planning begins.
The Hill Country is abound with a variety of festive events. Some places have a white Christmas, but in the Hill Country we have a light Christmas. Between the months of November and January the hills are illuminated in a multi-colored glow, its an electrical extravagance that’s so contagious it has spread through out the Hill Country’s many small towns and now forms the Trail of Lights. The Emily Ann Theatre in Wimberley is a proud participant in the Trail of Lights. Enjoy hot chocolate as you walk the trail. If you are still not feeling festive enough you can enjoy the 2012 Holiday Wine Trail. Take part in the self-guided Holiday Wine Trail and enjoy the Hill Country’s vineyards and tasting rooms that will be cloaked in lights, warmth and holiday fun. 
The Hill Country will be aglow in festivities this December. The Wimberley Winter’s Eve Festival on the Square will take place on December 8th. Shops will be open late, enjoy live music, food and vendors until 10 PM on Saturday.
The Blair House Inn will be decked out with lights and holly in celebration of the season.

The Hill Country of Texas and its towns are defined more by landscape than by zip codes. Meandering highways stretching over endless rolling hills and valleys that mimic the fluidity of its rivers. The trees, mostly live oak and cypress are jungle-like in their volume.

#8 ~ Bella Vista Olive Ranch ~ Located in the hill country of Wimberley, Texas. Designed to reflect a traditional Italian family farm, the ranch is home to over 1,200 producing olive trees, seasonal fruit and vegetables, a frantoio (olive press), a winery, tasting room and gift shop. Bella Vista also offer tours of the frantoio, winery, orchards and gardens for individuals as well as groups. Tours provide you an opportunity to explore our orchards and gardens, learn about the agriculture and cultivation of their olives, grapes, and other fruit before participating in a guided tasting of our fresh-made products. Guided tours last about 1 – 1 1/2 hours long and there is a fee of $15.00 per person.
