The 2019 Blanco Lavender Festival

The 15th annual Blanco Lavender Festival takes place this year from June 7th – 9th. Come find out what makes Blanco the lavender capital of Texas! The entire town and surrounding countryside are bathed in the soothing scents and hues of lavender for the duration of the festival.

Admission to the Blanco Lavender Festival is completely free!

Attend the Speaker’s Pavilion to learn about growing and using lavender, general horticulture, beekeeping, and more.

Bask in the pastel purple hues as you peruse the Lavender Market at the Historic Old Blanco County Courthouse. Here, you’ll find booths from local and regional lavender farms selling lavender, lavender products, and plants. There will also be work from over 100 talented local artisans and craftspeople on display.

As you stroll through the wide streets, you’ll pass by local vendors selling Texas food, regional wine, and local beer. Stop by Bindseil City Park to enjoy live music from local talent and relax on the grass under the shade of the trees.

Texas Lavender

While you’re here, you’ll want to stop by the local lavender fields. Texas’ climate is uniquely suited for growing lavender, so there are several farms dedicated to its cultivation. May through July is the typical blooming season for lavender in the Texas Hill Country, making June one of the best times to visit the local lavender farms!
