It's a far cry from the busy, packed streets of other Hill Country towns like Fredericksburg, or bigger cities like Austin and San Antonio. The quiet atmosphere is just one of the many things that bring people to downtown Wimberley, but the artsy vibe and fun shopping are the second.
You can find a diverse array of shops in downtown Wimberley. Whether you're looking for a new pair of cowboy boots, some Mexican folk art, rustic decor, or a beautiful new hand-blown glass piece, you can find it here. Shopping in downtown Wimberley isn't just limited to these shops, though - as the town is also the site of the famed Wimberley Market Days.
On the first Saturday of every month between March and December, the Wimberley Market Days open up with nearly 500 booths of treasures to sift through. It's the largest outdoor market in Texas Hill Country and certainly ranks as one of our favorite things to do monthly in downtown Wimberley.
