1. Middleton Brewery | San Marcos

You’ll discover a wide variety of local libations at Middleton Brewery! Their beers are creative and have fantastic flavors, whether it is the famous Pepperhead IPA or the robust Black Lab Porter. Not only are there 17 great beer taps to choose from, but you can also try the wide array of wine and locally made ciders. If you want to pair your drinks with food, two food trucks are on site for most of the week. In addition to these mainstays, Middleton Brewery usually has some type of event going on, whether its live music or charity drives. In all, it’s an excellent place to have fun and relax with a drink or two for a while.

2. Jester King Brewery | Austin

Recently named the 4th best small brewery in the world by readers of Craft Beer & Brewing, the authentic farmhouse-style Jester King Brewery offers a unique experience in its charming environs and through its top-notch beer. Their beer incorporates elements of the surrounding Texas Hill Country, and their mixed-culture brews and spontaneously fermented beer result in a diverse selection of flavorful creations. The seating here is mostly outdoors so as to enjoy the views, so try to visit on a sunny day!  

3. Twisted X Brewing Company | Dripping Springs

Twisted X produces small-batch beers made from the finest of ingredients coupled with close attention to detail. In addition to their signature brews like Chupahopra and Whoa-Mango, you can taste special beers they don’t offer anywhere else at their tasting room. With chic, industrial decor and your choice of outdoor or indoor seating, the atmosphere is laid-back, making Twisted X the ideal brewery to spend some time at while sipping on quality beer.  

4. Wimberley Brewing Company | Brewster’s Pizza, Wimberley

Wimberley Brewing Company features many beers inspired by the Texas Hill Country, apparent through names like “Blue Hole Blonde” and “Mount Baldy IPA.” Founded by two-time Super Bowl champion Bruce Collie, the handcrafted beers from Wimberley Brewing Company join with homemade pizza at Brewster’s Pizza and a beautiful Texas Hill Country location to create a well-rounded experience.
