When to Visit Lavender Fields in Texas

The blooming season for lavender is usually around May through July. Come the time when they are in bloom, the fields transform into seas of soft, bright hues of purple, swaying and rustling in the wind. Soothing aromas drift past, providing a bit of free aromatherapy.

Some farms are open to the public, and you can harvest the lavender yourself. Many of the farms that are not open to the public, like the Wimberley Lavender Farm, participate in the much-anticipated Blanco Lavender Festival that takes place each June.
